To support our progress, we are currently recruiting for a National Account Manager to come and join our team.

Key Accountabilities
  • Develop and deliver multi-year strategic account plans aligned with Ibstock’s commercial goals across national accounts (including volume, margin, range, and service objectives).
  • The ability to use customer and market data (e.g., volume forecasts, market share insights, pricing trends) to shape strategy, opportunity prioritisation, and performance tracking.
  • Lead annual and rolling Joint Business Planning (JBP) processes with key accounts and drive measurable outcomes from agreed priorities.
  • Deliver commercial results including revenue growth, profit improvement, mix optimisation, pricing realisation, and forecast accuracy.
  • Set account-specific KPIs and scorecards with clear tracking of performance against strategic objectives.
  • Drive disciplined pricing governance, deal compliance and profit maintenance.
  • Partner with Finance on demand and margin forecasting linked to broader Ibstock financial targets.
  • Act as single point of accountability internally for your national accounts.
Knowledge

Essential:

  • Proven track record in national or strategic account management (construction sector).
  • Strong commercial acumen with financial literacy (P&L understanding, pricing, budgeting & forecasting).
  • Excellent strategic planning and data analysis skills.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing without direct authority.
  • Senior stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and executive presence.

Desirable:

  • Experience in construction materials or building products manufacturing sector.
  • Familiarity with digital commercial tools (Oracle CRM, Power BI, forecasting).
