Nisbets Limited are currently recruiting for a New Business Manager to join our Key Accounts team and play a key role in driving new national account acquisition, commercial growth, and long‑term customer partnerships.

This is a field‑based role with regular national travel and the flexibility to work from home as part of a hybrid working pattern.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, targeting, and securing new national account opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders. You will showcase the full Nisbets product range, service solutions, and commercial benefits to large potential spend outlets, ensuring they are equipped with everything they need to make informed purchasing decisions.

This is a highly collaborative and commercially focused role, working closely with colleagues across Key Accounts, Commercial, and wider business functions to drive sustainable revenue growth, deliver strategic plans, and maximise customer satisfaction.

You will proactively build a strong pipeline, create tailored business plans, and convert opportunities into profitable long‑term partnerships. This role is ideal for a dynamic and driven sales professional with a proven ability to open new doors, influence senior stakeholders, and deliver meaningful commercial results.

Key Accountabilities
  • Proactively develop and maintain strong relationships and business plans with existing and potential new national accounts to deliver commercial growth.
  • Plan and execute customer visits, ensuring time is focused on opportunities with the highest commercial value.
  • Build and manage an effective pipeline of new business, converting opportunities in line with agreed KPIs and annual targets.
  • Maintain regular communication with key contacts at all levels through scheduled visits, calls, and written updates.
  • Create and deliver accurate business plans to achieve sales and margin targets across new and existing customers.
  • Identify, agree, and secure profitable growth opportunities to support both channel and business‑wide commercial strategies.
  • Build strong relationships with key third‑party suppliers, capturing and leveraging new business leads.
  • Travel nationally and complete overnight stays when required to support customer engagement and account development.
Capabilities, Skills and Experience Required
  • Previous experience in a field‑based sales role.
  • Demonstrable track record of winning and developing new national account business.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics within a commercial sales environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, planning, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage workload, prioritise effectively, and meet defined KPIs.
  • Skilled in influencing stakeholders at all levels, from operational leaders to board‑level executives.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical thinking.
