Overview

We have an opportunity for a Rehabilitation Assistant to join their team of staff in the Physiotherapy department.

This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Duties Of This Role Include

• Work collaboratively with nursing, physiotherapy, and occupational therapy teams to deliver rehabilitation programmes tailored to individual patient needs.
• Assist with mobility and positioning, including the safe use of hoists and mobility aids.
• Help patients engage in purposeful activities that promote cognitive, physical, social, and emotional recovery.
• Support patients and service users to access appointments, leisure, and community-based activities.
• Act as a key worker for assigned patients, advocating for their needs and ensuring consistent delivery of care plans.
• Develop therapeutic relationships while maintaining clear professional boundaries.

Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria

• Diploma/Degree in a Sport Related subject and relevant experience working in a MSK Rehabilitation setting.
• Level 2/3 gym/instructor/personal trainer or level 3 exercise referral/level 4 qualification/equivalent with experience delivering group sessions.
• Experience of working as part of a Physiotherapy team or within the fitness industry.
• At least 150 hours previous experience of working with specialist populations, for example exercise referral, cardiac, back care, falls etc.
• Full UK driving license.
