Our Home First & Reablement service supports people return home after a stay in hospital. This helps them continue their recovery in their own surroundings – regaining their ability to live as independently as possible.
This is an exciting time to join our service – we are expanding to continue to provide quality care and support and we are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals who want to work with people in their communities.
We are recruiting experienced and new to care Rehabilitation Assistants in Gloucester.
We have 4 posts - 2 part time. 4 on 4 off evenings 5-10pm and 2 full time posts 8am -1.30pm and 5-10pm. 4 on 4 off split shift.
As a Rehabilitation assistant , you will work closely with other health care professionals, delivering essential clinical and personal care. You will ensure that our service user needs are met and assist the team in maintaining high standards of care delivery.
If you are new to care and hold no experience in healthcare, then we offer a fantastic development opportunity with a structured development plan (including achieving the Care Certificate). You will progress from a pay band 2 to pay band 3 on achievement of the Care Certification.
Our service runs 24/7 and all our Rehabilitation Assistant roles offer core hours of 07.00-22.00.
This post is to cover the hours of 7:00-22:00 split shift on a 4 day on, 4 day off shift pattern.
Please note that this role is locality based visiting people and therefore it is essential that all applicants have a valid driving licence for the UK and access to a vehicle that they can use for work purposes.

As a Rehabilitation Assistant you will be responsible for participating and assisting in the delivery of care / services to patients and service users as part of a Mental Health and Social Care Health Service. Health Care Assistant, Social Care Workers and other Healthcare Support Workers employed by the Trust are required to follow the guidance set out in Code of Conduct for Health Care Assistants/ Health Care Support Workers to provide safe and compassionate care of a high standard, and to challenge others who are not.
You will receive direct supervision and partake in reflective practice / training on a regular basis and be required to meet the Care Certificate standards. All successful applicants will also have the opportunity to discuss the prospect of undertaking a Level 3 Healthcare Support Worker Apprenticeship alongside their substantive post. This apprenticeship would include the Level 3 Diploma in Clinical Healthcare.
