Southern Cross Catholic College OSHC (Frawley Campus, Scarborough) is seeking a passionate and experienced Educator/Assistant Coordinator to join our friendly, growing team. Applicants must hold a minimum 2-year relevant qualification and be available to work a split shift, five days per week.

Our service operates before school care from 6:30am–8:30am and after school care from 3:00pm–6:00pm. We are currently expanding our service, with a licence increase from 60 to 90 places.

Children enjoy our expansive outdoor space, a wide range of equipment, and engaging craft experiences each afternoon, making our program a vibrant and welcoming place to work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Coordinator in the day-to-day operations of the service, including:
  • Program planning, delivery, and documentation
  • Staff rostering and supervision
  • Assist in the delivery of a high quality, inclusive, educational program
  • Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming, and nurturing environment
  • Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families
  • Consent to be the Responsible Person on site in the absence of the coordinator
Job Requirements
  • Diploma in Children Services or ACECQA Equivalent
  • Previous experience in the education and care of children in a similar role
  • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis
  • Child Protection Training is a requirement of this role
  • Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place framework and National Law/Regulations
  • Effective computer skills including experience with childcare management software (Xplor preferred)
  • Effective workplace communication and leadership skills
