A children's care provider is seeking a highly experienced Registered Manager to lead a team and ensure high-quality care for young people. The role involves achieving positive Ofsted ratings, supervising staff, and developing care plans. Applicants must have at least 4 years of management experience in a residential setting and hold an NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management. Type of YPs: Children aged 8–18, therapeutic needs, MH, challenging behaviours
Ofsted Rating Requirement: Minimum of 2 “Good” or “Outstanding”
Staff Ratio: Dependent on home size, leadership of staff team expected
We are seeking a highly experienced Registered Manager who:
Has a proven track record of achieving and sustaining Good or Outstanding Ofsted ratings in children’s homes
Can lead, supervise, and appraise staff, including safer recruitment practices
Is proficient in legislation, regulatory compliance, and Ofsted guidance
Is passionate about care and motivated to positively influence the outcomes of children and young people
Holds a driving licence and access to a vehicle
Dynamic, professional, and innovative children’s care provider

Lead a team in delivering high-quality care and support to children and young people
Work with external agencies, Ofsted, LA, and Reg 44 to ensure standards are met
Develop and implement care plans, risk assessments, and strategies to meet regulatory requirements
Monitor service effectiveness and ensure positive outcomes for children
Oversee recruitment, supervision, and training of staff
Maintain accurate records and reporting, ensuring compliance at all times
NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management in Residential Childcare, or equivalent
At least 4 years’ management experience in a residential children’s home setting
Minimum of 2 “Good” or “Outstanding” Ofsted ratings in previous roles
Familiarity with therapeutic approaches, MH experience, DOLS, neuro de-escalation
Strong organisational and communication skills
Commitment to safeguarding, child protection, and partnership working
