Senior Sales GTM & Agency Strategist

Preferred Location: London

Reports To: Director, Global Revenue Enablement

Mission: Drive Sales Excellence Through Strategic Playbooks

The Senior Sales GTM & Agency Strategist is the chief architect of the Sales GTM Playbook and the owner of the commercial selling process. This role is responsible for ensuring global consistency, commercial excellence, and accelerating deal velocity by designing and implementing strategic sales plays, core narratives, and high-impact training programs across Smartly’s Global Sales and Agency organizations.

You will transform high-level strategy into actionable, repeatable steps that empower sellers to diagnose pain, build a quantified business case, and win against the competition.

What You’ll Own
1. Sales & Agency GTM Strategy and Playbook Ownership
  • GTM Playbook Master: Own, design, and maintain the end-to-end Global Sales GTM Playbook, ensuring all sales stages, exit criteria, and methodologies are clearly defined, adopted, and effective.
  • Agency Strategy: Develop and execute the Agency enablement strategy and work with the Partnerships & Competitive Lead to create tailored narratives, workshops, and training for the global Agency segment.
  • Narrative & Positioning: Partner with Product Marketing to translate product features and competitive intelligence into clear, differentiated, and value-based sales narratives and positioning for global commercial teams.
  • Sales Plays: Design, roll out, and measure high-priority sales plays and initiatives (e.g., Vertical-specific campaigns, new product GTMs) to increase pipeline generation and speed time-to-close.
2. Commercial Coaching and Skill Enablement
  • New Hire & Foundational Training: Own the role-specific orientation experience for new Sales and Agency hires, focusing on discovery, scoping, and value articulation.
  • Coaching & Practice: Develop and lead high-impact practice sessions and role-plays (e.g., Scoping, Objection Handling, Executive Pitching) to drive skill transfer and stickiness, ensuring consistency across regional pods.
  • Certification & Assessment: Collaborate with the Enablement Training Manager to design and execute ongoing certifications that benchmark seller competency in core skills, process adoption, and methodology execution.
3. Cross-Functional Execution & Accountability
  • Operation Rigor: Partner with Sales Leadership and Revenue Operations to enforce sales process rigor and ensure Pre-Sales engagement is maximized and deals are properly qualified.
  • Content Activation: Work with the Content Governance team to embed AI-backed competitive intelligence and best-in-class messaging directly into the Outreach sequences and Sales Co-Pilot tool.
  • Performance Insight: Collaborate with Sales Operations to analyze performance data (deal velocity, win rates, campaign lift) to identify coaching gaps and strategically inform future playbook iterations.
We’re Looking For You If You Have
  • 5+ years of experience in a high-growth B2B SaaS environment in Sales Enablement, Sales Training, or a Sales Leadership role.
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and drive adoption of complex sales methodologies (e.g., Challenger, MEDDPICC, Sandler, Miller-Heiman).
  • Deep expertise in the digital advertising, paid social, or AdTech industry landscape.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a track record of coaching and influencing senior sales leaders and high-performing sellers.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale GTM projects cross-functionally across Sales, Product Marketing, and Operations.
  • A strong bias for action and a passion for turning strategy into measurable commercial results.
