A leading renewable energy company seeks candidates for a Wind Turbine Technician Apprenticeship starting in August 2026. The 3-year program offers comprehensive training with NVQ Level 3 qualification in Engineering. Responsibilities include maintaining wind turbines in remote locations and working as part of an offshore team. Applicants should have 5 GCSEs including Science and Maths, be willing to learn, and able to work at height. Role: Wind Turbine Technician Apprenticeship – 3 year apprenticeship, start August 2026 (fixed term)
Location: Harwich (Galloper Windfarm), ESS GB CO12 4gd; Fleet Servicing SOV (UK and Germany) – rotating 14/14 on vessel; training at Coleg Llandrillo, Rhyl or IPS International, Rochester
Salary: £17,510 in year 1, rising annually; pension and private single medical cover.
Comprehensive learning programme with classroom and on‑site training. NVQ Level 3 in Engineering upon completion. Work as part of small offshore team on specific wind farms, carrying out scheduled, unscheduled and troubleshooting maintenance on turbines.
Accommodation/Travel: Term‑time accommodation and travel expenses for two journeys per month provided. Food and drink allowance during term time.
Holidays: 25 days (outside term time) plus public holidays.
