A leading energy technology company in the UK is seeking an Offshore Wind Turbine Service Technician Apprentice. You will undertake training in Maintenance Operations & Engineering Technician, focusing on executing maintenance and troubleshooting of wind turbines. Ideal candidates should have a strong commitment to engineering, hold 3 GCSEs including Mathematics and Science, and possess effective communication skills. A full UK driving license and willingness to work shifts is also required. The initial contract will last 42 months with a starting salary of £16,000 and various perks.
A Snapshot of Your Day: As an Offshore Wind Turbine Service Technician Apprentice, you will pursue a level 3 qualification (equivalent to NVQ). The course is titled: Maintenance Operations & Engineering Technician. You will receive training in all facets of the wind turbine service technician role, including industry standard safety training and safe ways of working.
We are recruiting these roles in the following locations:
During the first year of your apprenticeship, your primary base will be at our partner training provider located in Scunthorpe where you will undertake General Electrical / Mechanical training in both practical and theory-based sessions.
In years 2 & 3, your learning will primarily be hands-on experience working with one of our service teams on site, either at the site you have been recruited to work on or, if you have been recruited for the travelling technician pool, you will gain experience on one of our UK sites.
