As a Cleaner at the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our estates. Your work helps ensure that every resident feels proud of their surroundings and safe in their community. From keeping shared spaces spotless to supporting a welcoming environment, you’ll be at the heart of what makes our borough a great place to live.

Working Style

As a Cleaner of Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, you’ll be based in the Borough, three days a week for 12 hours, working Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. You’ll play a key role in supporting the local community by helping to maintain clean, safe and welcoming environments across our estates. Whether you're working in shared spaces or behind the scenes, you’ll be part of a committed team making a visible impact on residents’ daily lives.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you’ll be joining a dedicated team who take pride in delivering a consistently high standard of service across the Borough. Your site is a prestigious, high‑end housing estate, where attention to detail and a commitment to excellence are essential. You’ll be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of communal areas, ensuring that residents experience a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment every day. Working closely with colleagues and estate staff, you’ll help uphold the reputation of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea as a place where quality and care are at the heart of everything we do.

What You’ll Bring

To succeed in this role, you’ll either hold relevant cleaning qualifications or have practical experience and knowledge of professional cleaning standards. We’re looking for someone who takes genuine pride in their work and understands the importance of maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming communal areas. A keen eye for detail is essential, along with hands‑on experience in tasks such as mopping, sweeping, dusting, and polishing brass fixtures. Standard DBS will be required for this role.
