Care Assistant – Chingford

“There’s no place like home.”

And there’s no care quite like yours.

For the people you’ll support, home isn’t just a place — it’s comfort, memories, and the feeling of belonging. That’s why Home Instead is passionate about helping older adults stay exactly where they feel safest: in their own home.

If you’re someone who finds fulfilment in helping others feel valued, understood, and cared for, you may be the perfect fit.

About Home Instead

Our client, Home Instead, delivers care the way it should be — personal, unhurried, and centred around genuine relationships. Care Professionals are matched with clients based on shared interests and personalities, allowing trust and friendship to grow naturally.

With award-winning training, ongoing support, and a strong reputation for quality, Home Instead is proud to provide the kind of care we’d all want for our loved ones.

The Role

This is a role for someone who wants their work to have real meaning.

No formal care experience is needed. Your compassion, reliability, and openness to learning are what truly matter. With full training and ongoing support, you will have everything you need to thrive and make a real difference.

You will offer practical support and warm companionship to older adults who wish to remain independent at home.

Shift Patterns

Home Instead aims to be as flexible as possible.

  • Morning shifts: 07:00 to 15:00
  • Evening shifts: 17:00 to 22:00
  • Every other weekend required
  • Full-time and part-time hours available

Whether you prefer early starts or quieter evening work, there’s a pattern that can fit your lifestyle.

What You’ll Do

Your visits will never be rushed. You’ll have the time to deliver care properly and build genuine, meaningful connections.

  • Provide personal care with dignity and warmth
  • Offer companionship and emotional support
  • Help with meal preparation and light household tasks
  • Accompany clients to appointments, shops, or social activities
  • Create a safe, reassuring, and positive home environment

Every visit is an opportunity to brighten someone’s day.

What We’re Looking For

You may be the ideal candidate if you are:

  • Kind, patient, and naturally caring
  • Reliable and committed to helping others
  • Able to communicate clearly and sensitively
  • Willing to learn and be part of a supportive team
  • Available every other weekend
  • A driver with your own vehicle

Experience is welcomed but not required. Your values are what matter most.

What You’ll Receive

Home Instead believes in supporting their Care Professionals as much as their clients. You can expect:

  • Excellent hourly pay £13.85 to £14.00
  • Paid, award-winning training and ongoing development
  • Paid travel time and mileage
  • Blue Light Card for national discounts
  • £200 refer-a-friend bonus
  • A supportive team who know you by name
  • A working culture where you are valued, respected, and appreciated
