Bank Support Worker

Department: Healthcare Assistants and Support Workers

Location: Brooke House

Compensation: £12.60 / hour

Description

Brooke House is looking to recruit a Bank Support Worker to join the team. Brooke House is a large, detached, Edwardian property. The main house features eight bedrooms, all of which have access to the shared communal facilities. To the rear of the property, there is also a self-contained studio‑style flat, with direct access to our shared garden area. The studio flat has a separate kitchen and bathroom.

What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As a Support Worker you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents.

You also have to:

  • Provide personal care support with sensitivity to individual needs and preferences.
  • Support daily living skills to promote independence (e.g., dressing, grooming, meal preparation)
  • Use de‑escalation techniques and positive behaviour support strategies to manage challenging behaviours calmly and respectfully
  • Develop and follow personalised care plans and behaviour support plans
  • Collaborate with families, healthcare professionals, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistent care
