We are offering an exciting opportunity for a driven professional to join us as Assistant Area Head in Mechanical and Electrical Services. In this pivotal leadership role, you will help deliver high‑quality, hands‑on training in a fast‑evolving field while contributing to the strategic direction and operational delivery of our Electrical programmes.

About the Role

In this Band 2 role, you will be instrumental in delivering high‑quality Electrical Installation education, using your technical expertise to guide learners in a modern, well‑resourced environment designed to reflect real‑world practice.

Alongside your teaching responsibilities, you will support the operational management of our Electrical programmes—overseeing staff, coordinating resources and helping to drive excellence in teaching, learning and assessment. As a member of the area leadership team, you will contribute to curriculum planning, quality improvement and the strategic development of the department.

Whether you are an experienced lecturer or a qualified professional eager to share your knowledge, this role offers the opportunity to lead, inspire and make a lasting impact.

Essential Qualifications
  • Level 3 (or above) qualified electrician in Electrical Installation or Maintenance, including AM2 assessment and NVQ.
  • Minimum Level 2 English and Maths (GCSE Grade 4+/C or equivalent).
  • Level 5 Teaching Qualification, or willingness to complete within 3 years of employment (or within 3 years of the first available course).
  • Assessor/Verifier Awards, or willingness to achieve within six months of starting.
Essential Experience
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams or managing staff within an educational or professional setting.
  • Strong background in training or teaching, with a proactive approach to curriculum development, course promotion and marketing.
  • Solid practical experience within the electrical or related industries.
