We are seeking a strategic, dynamic, and enthusiastic managing supervising pharmacist to oversee the operation of Point of Care dispensing pharmacy in county Dublin, a subsidiary of Uniphar plc. Point of Care pharmacy operates a clinical pharmacy service dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care outside of the traditional hospital setting and in line with the community pharmacy sector. This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, strong leadership skills, management skills and deep knowledge of pharmacy regulations and legislation. This role would be ideal for a pharmacist seeking career development and personal development outside of their current supervising pharmacist and or managing role.

The successful candidate must demonstrate excellence in the following:

  • Be responsible for the day to day running of the dispensary.
  • Be responsible for management of the dispensary team and report directly to the Superintendent pharmacist and POC commercial Lead.
  • Be responsible for the financial management of the pharmacy.
  • Take final responsibility within the pharmacy for Stock Management specifically relating to, purchasing, ordering, stock management, merchandising, date checking and stocktaking.
  • Take final responsibility for regulatory compliance, quality assurance standards and audit activities as per national and international standards by our governing bodies.
  • Have the ability to work under pressure and multi-task.
  • Must be capable of working on own initiative as well as with others internally and externally across the pharma industry and health care sector.
  • Drive business within the pharmacy and have an awareness of the current Irish healthcare sector and the future of pharmacy in Ireland.
  • Ability to communicate and get along with a variety of different personalities, with the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Pro-actively always drive excellence in customer service throughout the pharmacy.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills Required:

· Member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland, with 2 to 3 years supervising pharmacist experience.

· 1-2 years management experience essential.

· Strong communication, Interpersonal and leadership skills.

· Ability to work on own initiative & as part of a team are essential.

· Highly organised, excellent attention to detail, with a proven ability to work on multiple tasks accurately in a busy environment.

· Excellent people management skills

· Excellent financial management skills and commercial awareness

· Strong IT proficiency

· Excellent communication skills and teamwork skills
