A family-run transport company in Pocklington is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of heavy goods vehicles, ensuring compliance with regulations. Hours: Alternate weekly rota, Monday to Friday. Week 1: 7am - 5pm, Week 2: 8am - 6pm.
Join the Ashcourt Group as an experienced HGV Technician and become a vital part of our expanding team. Based at our state-of-the-art workshop within our new head office in Pocklington, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, servicing, and repairing a diverse fleet of heavy goods vehicles, trailers, and specialist vehicles.
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide variety of HGV vehicles and trailers.
- Conduct routine servicing and comprehensive vehicle inspections.
- Prepare vehicles for MOT compliance.
- Ensure all work adheres to DVSA and manufacturer specifications.
- Work efficiently to enhance workshop productivity.
- Maintain precise records of repairs and maintenance activities.
- Full UK driving licence; Class 1 or 2 licence is advantageous.
- NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrable experience as an HGV or commercial vehicle technician.
- Exceptional diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- IRTEC Qualifications are preferred.
- Overtime paid at time and a half.
- 28 days of annual leave, inclusive of bank holidays.
