Job summary
A forward-thinking tech startup in Cambridge seeks a talented engineer to use AI for developing high-quality financial models. This role requires expertise in TypeScript and Rust, and a hands-on approach to coding. You'll be responsible for owning features end-to-end and enhancing our AI systems. Ideal candidates should demonstrate strong engineering capabilities, determination, and an interest in competitive programming. This full-time role requires in-person work at our Hoxton office, with an opportunity to become a technical leader over time.

We aim to turn our users into superhuman financial modellers.
Financial models underpin every important decision a company makes. The process of building them hasn't changed in 20 years. We think there is a $100bn+ opportunity to fix that and deliver productivity gains comparable to those that software engineers are experiencing from AI.
We are a small cracked engineering team, ex Jane Street, Bloomberg, Cambridge, UCL, etc. Tech stack is TypeScript for most things and Rust where it matters. The role is 5-6 days a week in person in our Hoxton (London) office.
Use AI to aggressively ship high-quality code. Leverage the latest tools, models and trends. AI is no longer optional. You must be amazing at prompting, know different models, and have experience with Claude Code, Cursor, etc. (We are not looking for vibe coders).
Own features end-to-end - from a Rust service to backend to frontend. Wear multiple hats and learn quickly.
Make our AI agent smarter by improving the harness, tools, and optimising context.
Own and improve our backend and infrastructure, fix low-level bugs, and optimise CI.
Work with our cracked designer Joao to ensure that every feature feels incredible and consistent.
Over time, become a technical leader and own significant parts of the product.
