Our client is a well-established company within the motor trade, operating for almost 70 years and specializing in commercial vehicle rental. They serve both trade and retail customers with five rental depots and fully equipped maintenance workshops in the North and South of England, operating approximately 2,000 vehicles (of which 900 are above 3.5 tons). You will be based at their Sherburn‑In‑Elmet Depot.
Valeter/Driver responsible for maintaining vehicles to a high standard, supporting operational duties and ensuring safety and cleanliness on the yard.
- Valeting HGVs, inside and out.
- Site maintenance and yard duties – keeping all areas clean, tidy and safe.
- Moving vehicles around the yard.
- Occasionally assisting drivers to collect or return vehicles from customers.
- Occasionally dropping off or collecting HGVs to and from customer premises.
- Must hold a valid HGV license.
- Good health and physical capability to climb in and out of trucks.
- Attention to detail and genuine interest in presenting vehicles to a very high standard.
- Previous valeting experience is not required; full training will be provided.
Annual salary: £35,657.70 (fully calculated from hourly breakdowns). Standard hours are 7:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday to Friday with a 30‑minute unpaid break.
- Profit‑share bonus paid every 3 months.
- Annual pay rises.
- 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays.
- Death in Service Pay‑out (Life Insurance) – Annual salary × 2 after 12 months qualifying period.
- Contributory pension at 3% effective immediately upon commencement.
