Health and Safety Advisor – Balfour Beatty VINCI

Location: Birmingham, West Midlands, United Kingdom.

About the Role

Join the Balfour Beatty VINCI team and work on the exciting HS2 project as a Health and Safety Advisor, guiding personnel, ensuring compliance with the HSMS and statutory provisions, and supporting accident/incident investigations.

Responsibilities
  • Advise, guide and coach all personnel on the project with the implementation of the HSMS.
  • Advise on project compliance with the HSMS and statutory provisions.
  • Maintain the Health & Safety competence matrix.
  • Deliver the H&S induction and other H&S briefings along with the construction team.
  • Produce, review and implement the CPP.
  • Review Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
  • Support the accident/incident investigations procedure and timely communication of findings.
  • Monitor the project, trade contractors, designers, suppliers and assist the Procurement Team.
  • Liaise with trade contractors, designers, suppliers, client, enforcement agencies and other relevant parties.
  • Assist with the development, regular review and update of the HSMS.
  • Contribute to the development of an Injury Free Environment.
Experience Required
  • Previous experience in Construction Project/Facilities Health & Safety.
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
