A water utility company in Sheffield is seeking a Night Leakage Inspector to conduct advanced leakage investigations at night, utilizing new technologies and conducting detailed assessments. This permanent role requires experience with technical testing, strong communication skills, and the ability to work consecutive nights. Location: Smithy Wood, Sheffield. Working pattern: rolling 3 weeks of nights (Monday‑Thursday) and 1 week of days (Monday‑Friday), 37 hrs per week. Permanent.
The Night Leakage Inspector carries out advanced leakage investigation activities across the most problematic DMA’s. Activities include step testing, advanced sounding, and utilisation of new leakage technologies to locate and promote leakage for repair. The role supports network optimisation, meter servicing, commercial usage investigations and team‑directed work.
