Job summary
A leading commercial vehicle service provider in Southampton seeks a Van Service Technician to perform high-quality inspections and repairs. You will work in a team, contributing to maintaining excellent standards before vehicles are returned to customers. A new opportunity has arisen to join the business as aVan Service Technicianat ourAdams Moreysite on Adanac Park, Nursling.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for carrying out high-quality inspections, maintenance, and repairs to ensure all vehicles meet our exacting standards before they are returned to customers or released to market. Working as part of a skilled and motivated team, you’ll play an essential role in maintaining our reputation for excellence, efficiency, and attention to detail.
Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.
Salary:Dependent on experience (will be discussed at interview stage)
Hours:Monday to Friday 2.30 pm to 11.00 pm, i.e. 40 hours per week, 30 minute lunch (unpaid).
- Following a job card to carry out approved repairs.
- Removing and refitting parts across multiple brands of vehicles.
- Ability to understand and follow advised customers repair standards.
- Ability to problem solve and diagnose basic mechanical and electrical issues.
- Completing safety checks (Mechanical Inspections) on newly arrived vehicles.
- Ensure all repairs are carried out to a high standard and quality check your own work.
- Maintain a tidy and safe work environment.
- Previous experience in mechanical and electrical fitting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Have a strong understanding of Health and Safety requirements.
- Willingness to go on a MOT testers course if not already a qualified tester.
