Our apprenticeship programme offers a great route into a professional career in local government customer service and administration. You’ll be working as a member of our customer contact team helping our city’s residents, businesses and visitors.
No two days are the same, so we are looking for someone who is flexible, able to work to tight deadlines and ensure that you can get jobs done as part of a team, but also working independently.
As part of part of the apprenticeship you willundertake a customer service practitioner level 2 training programme.
- Be central to our digital first approach. Learn to provide customers with advice and support to enable them to access our services online.
We will help you develop your skills to:
- work as part of a team, providing support to colleagues to contribute to enhanced team performance
- develop productive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
- identify and communicate issues to provide continuity of service and consistency of output
- Work collaboratively and support other colleagues (as required) to deliver Team Plans and Corporate Plan.
- Fulfil individual targets to contribute to team performance. Deliver the service in accordance with key performance indicators and service standards.
- Confidence in the use of IT including digital services that customers use.
- Understanding of good customer services.
- Good verbal and written communiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a pressurised, fast moving environment.
- English and Maths GCSE at grade C/4 or above, or equivalent qualification.
