Job summary

A leading educational organization is seeking a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school's Maths department from January to July 2026. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Maths and demonstrate a passion for inspiring students to achieve their academic goals. This full-time position offers a competitive weekly salary of £480 - £520 during term time. The teaching assistant will engage in planning sessions and build strong relationships with students, promoting their educational development and well-being.

The Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant Opportunity:
  • Math Graduate Teaching Assistant
  • Secondary school in Scarborough
  • Full time Monday – Friday
  • January 2026 to July 2026
  • £480 - £520 per week (term time only)
The Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant must:
  • Hold a degree in Maths with a 2:2 or above
  • Be able to inspire students who may need extra encouragement
  • Expected to lead group sessions and build strong working relationships with individual students
  • Have initiative with planning and lesson planning to have students engaged
  • Be flexible and self-motivated
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Support the aims and ethos of the school
  • Demonstrate a commitment to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and vulnerable adults
