We are hiring for the role of Senior Commercial Technology Solicitor at Harper James. We are looking for a Senior Commercial Technology Solicitor (10+ years PQE) to join our supportive, down to earth and sociable team.

This opportunity is suited to a senior commercial technology solicitor with wide-ranging commercial technology, digital media and IT experience from an in-house or private practice background. If you like working with driven entrepreneurial businesses providing innovative and creative solutions in software, hardware, information security, privacy and cyber, fintech, AI and machine learning, IoT, business intelligence, consumer tech, facilities management, digital commerce, mobile apps and gaming, smart city technology, advanced manufacturing, greentech, cleantech, blockchain, healthcare and biotech (to name a few) we’re interested in you.

Plain English commercial advice and strong negotiation and drafting skills are a must. A good handle on IP and data protection issues in technology contracts to work with our specialist business teams is also expected.

You’ll excel as part of the HJ team if you:

• Have a solid working knowledge of Microsoft 365 products (eg. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Can confidently navigate SharePoint to manage and collaborate on projects.
• Have a keen eye for detail when formatting and editing documents, ensuring consistency and professionalism.
