Travel may be required to locations such as Livingston, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Inverness, and Falkirk.This is an outstanding opportunity for a mechanically skilled engineer with diesel engine experience who wants to grow, develop, and take their career to the next level within a global organisation.**What You’ll Be Doing*** Servicing, maintaining, and repairing pumps, generators, and diesel-powered equipment across depot and customer sites.* Preparing, inspecting, and testing equipment to ensure it’s fully operational before deployment.* Carrying out major overhauls, refurbishments, and fault diagnostics to minimise downtime.* Working closely with the service team, hire controllers, and foreman to keep operations running smoothly.* Ensuring strict compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.* Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.* Travelling to customer sites and taking part in an on-call rota (1 week in 4).**You’ll Have*** Mechanical engineering experience, ideally with plant equipment, pumps, generators, or diesel engines.* Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3, an M&E apprenticeship, or equivalent.* A full UK driving licence.**Our Benefits*** Competitive salary package (negotiable DOE)* Enhanced payments for overtime and on-call* Company vehicle* 25 days’ holiday + bank holidays + holiday purchase scheme* Company pension* Ongoing training, development, and strong career progression opportunitiesIf you’re a driven engineer looking for variety, autonomy, and long-term development in a market-leading company, we’d love to hear from you.**Join Carrier and help us keep industry moving.
