A leading law firm in Cheltenham is seeking a Finance Systems Analyst to provide support for finance tools and manage user access. Ideal candidates will have strong IT skills, experience with practice management systems, and a solid understanding of finance management. Like our lawyer teams, our business support teams aim to beinnovative and client focused. In a constantly evolving workplace, ourfinance team provides commercially focussed advice and assistance tohelp our lawyers work profitably and manage their financialadministration effectively and efficiently.
As our Finance Systems Analyst you'll play a key role in this. You'llprovide 2nd and 3rd level support to the Finance Team and widerbusiness for using our suite of finance tools: mainly Aderant (ourPMS), Chrome River (expenses) and ARCS (account reconciliations).You'll also help us to use the tools we have better, finding ways todevelop existing tools and to integrate them with other systems and totest and implement upgrades and new software.
On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for managing useraccess, including setting up new users, processing changes, trainingand trouble‑shooting. You'll be an essential part of ensuring thequality and integrity of the data and preparing appropriate reports.
Beyond that, a key part of your role will be to support us with thecontinual improvement of our management of financial data. We haveplenty of projects ongoing and in the pipeline that we need your helpwith, so there's an opportunity for you to really make a difference.
We're looking for someone with strong IT smarts and a solidunderstanding of finance management. You must have a detailedknowledge of working with and configuring a practice management systemand, ideally, other finance related systems. You'll be naturallyanalytical and process oriented, but you'll also need to be pragmatic,commercial and personable - you'll be dealing with our lawyersregularly and they need high level of service.
If you also have good SQL and experience in software testing andimplementation we'll be particularly impressed. And it's notessential, but if you can top that with knowledge of the legal sectorand the Solicitors Accounts Rules, we'll be absolutely delighted.
