A leading plumbing product manufacturer is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for a year placement in Cheltenham. The position involves hands-on experience in new product development, working with senior engineers on design tasks. Applicants should be engineering students with creativity and problem-solving skills. Mechanical Design Engineer – Year Placement – Location: Cheltenham
Compensation: £23,500
The successful applicant will be placed within the New Product Development team (NPD), to gain hands-on experience in designing products. During the placement the engineering intern will carry out multiple placements between 3-6 months each, around the various product and advanced development categories. Collaborating with senior engineers in each field to complete a variety of design and development tasks in line with business needs and project timelines. Working within the dedicated design project teams will give you detailed insight into the design process and working in the various categories will give you a rounded appreciation of multiple product types.
