A leading technology firm in the United Kingdom is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead and mentor their engineering team. This role includes fostering a collaborative environment, overseeing operations, and setting strategic direction in partnership with Product teams. The ideal candidate will have over 6 years in engineering leadership, and 8 years of hands-on software experience, with skills in Ruby and AWS. This full-time role offers a competitive daily rate for contractors in the UK.
Uplisting is looking for a Software Engineering Manager to lead the performance, growth, and cohesion of our engineering team. You’ll foster a collaborative, supportive, and energetic environment while overseeing day-to-day operations across processes, QA, product alignment, and delivery. Beyond managing execution, you’ll provide hands-on guidance and mentoring to individual contributors, help set strategic direction in partnership with Product, and ensure the team consistently meets its development targets. This role is equal parts people leadership, technical stewardship, and operational excellence, creating the conditions for engineers to do their best work and for the platform to scale with confidence.
