The Home Carlingford Lodge Care Home, located in the beautiful port town of Warrenpoint, offers a warm and supportive environment for 58 residents across three units: General Nursing, Dementia Nursing and a General Residential unit. The Home Manager, along with a professional team of nurses, carers, an administrator and ancillary support from housekeeping, catering and maintenance, welcomes new team members who share a commitment to high‑quality, person‑centred care.

The Care Assistant will play a pivotal role in the day‑to‑day operations of the Home, assisting with activities of daily living, ensuring the well‑being and comfort of residents, and providing emotional support and companionship. Working shifts are 5pm‑11pm.

• Assist residents with daily living activities such as dressing, bathing, eating and mobility.
• Provide emotional support and companionship, helping residents maintain a good quality of life.
• Encourage residents to maintain independence and involve them in activities where possible.
• Help with moving and handling residents using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Support the nursing and healthcare team by monitoring residents’ well‑being and reporting changes in health or behaviour.
• Follow individual care plans to ensure comfort and safety.
• Maintain a clean, safe and homely environment for residents.

• Educated to QCF/NVQ Level 2 desirable, but not essential.
• Previous experience in Health and Social Care preferred; full training will be provided if not.
