Cleaner - NW11 Golders Green - Immediate Start

Ventry Care are recruiting members of domestic staff to join the housekeeping team at our residential care home in Golders Green – NW11 (London Borough of Barnet). We care for older persons and older persons with dementia.

Pay: hourly starting at £12.25 (increasing for excellent candidates).

Hours

08:00 to 15:00 shift, up to 6 days per week available.

About This Role
  • Essential infection control work, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the Care Home.
  • Cleaning and polishing of lounges, bedrooms, corridors, common rooms and offices.
  • Washing, drying and packing away of laundry.
  • Carpet shampooing and spring cleaning tasks.
  • Safe use of electrical equipment – hoover, washing machine, dryer, iron and carpet cleaner.
  • Awareness of the usage and storage of materials and equipment and compliance with COSHH requirements at all times.
  • Awareness of hazards and work within a safe environment, taking into account your own safety and the safety of others.
  • Ensuring all equipment is clean and well maintained.
  • Restocking toiletries, soaps, towels etc as and when required.
  • Other domestic tasks as directed.

You will be supervised and supported by the care home management and will take instruction from them. Your daily aim is to keep a busy care home clean and organised. You must therefore be self‑motivated and want to work well.

Experience is preferable but not essential. Ongoing training and support will be given.
