MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

As the Finance Manager, you will be involved in the day‑to‑day running of the department, working closely with the Head of Financial Control and Finance Director. You will take ownership of the London show’s accounting and play a key role in developing reporting and relationships with external partners. This is a hands‑on role requiring strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

ABOUT YOU:

  • A passionate and enthusiastic qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountant with 3–5 years of management accounting experience.
  • Experience of accounting in the live entertainment/events sector would be an advantage, but not essential.
  • Experience of helping develop systems and processes that support and enable successful business operations.
  • A key requirement of this position is the ability to work under pressure and multitask while retaining a strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A passion for working in a high growth business and highly adaptable as part of an evolving team and changing priorities.
  • A positive, can‑do, and problem‑solving attitude.
  • Prior experience of Xero or similar software.
  • Proficient with Excel and competent knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.

DESIRABLE BUT NOT ESSENTIAL – any of the following would be advantageous:

  • Experience within the entertainment sector and a genuine interest in supporting the success of concerts, tours and events.
  • Experience of working in a high growth business.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Business partner with our Food and Beverage and Merchandise partners, working together to enhance reporting and assist the Commercial Finance team in providing financial analysis internally.
  • Liaise with other departments internally for all Food and Beverage and Merchandise‑related initiatives, assisting on all financial, commercial and operational matters.
  • Coordinate and act as the lead contact for our Food & Beverage and Merchandise partner audits.
  • Play a key role in the month‑end and year‑end reporting processes. Run month‑end reports, provide commentary and present final reporting to the Head of Financial Control and Finance Director.
  • Work closely with the Show and Venue (Arena) department heads during the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process, providing financial expertise and additional help where required.
  • Assist the Show and Venue (Arena) budget holders with their queries on supplier expenditure and payments.
  • Assist the Head of Financial Control with departmental reporting and monitor tracking to budget.
  • Support the year‑end audit process: prepare audit files, respond to queries and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Prepare quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Play a key role in the implementation of a new ERP system.
  • Help develop systems and processes that support and enable a successful finance function and then constantly review and improve controls and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Help run the department in line with the company values to enable the business to achieve its goals.
  • Undertake a range of duties to support the success of the finance team that are not limited to initial job description.
