Job description

We’re seeking a highly analytical and strategic Finance Manager with strong experience in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) or renewable energy infrastructure. This role will oversee financial planning, project evaluation, and investment analysis for our fast-growing energy storage portfolio.

You’ll work closely with the engineering, commercial, and project development teams to ensure financial robustness across the full lifecycle of BESS projects, from development to operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial modeling and project valuation for BESS and hybrid renewable projects.

• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for ongoing and pipeline projects.

• Support project financing activities, including debt structuring, investor presentations, and due diligence.

• Develop financial models for new technologies, revenue streams (capacity markets, ancillary services, arbitrage), and long-term asset performance.

• Collaborate with commercial teams on pricing strategies and Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).

• Track CAPEX/OPEX performance and optimize cost structures for large-scale storage deployments.

• Prepare financial reports and present key metrics to senior management and investors.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, project finance covenants, and internal controls.

• Contribute to strategic decision-making regarding asset acquisition, divestment, and portfolio optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.

• 7+ years of experience in financial management or project finance - preferably in BESS, renewables, or energy infrastructure.

• Proven experience in financial modeling, valuation, and project finance structuring.

• Strong understanding of energy markets, storage revenue mechanisms, and grid economics.

• Proficiency in financial tools (Excel, Power BI, ERP systems, etc.).

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
