Electrical Maintenance Technician role at px Group. Based in Teesside, you’ll be key in delivering excellence in safe, efficient operations and maintenance using HydroPRS™ technology to chemically recycle end-of-life plastic. Joining us as we commission and start up, your experience and contributions will help achieve recycling of over 20,000 tonnes of waste plastic each year, with scope for expansion as we grow.

Department: Engineering & Maintenance | Location: Wilton (Teesside area)

• Perform programmed maintenance work, defect rectification and troubleshooting, emergent and project work relating to site electrical equipment.
• Produce risk assessments and method statements detailing the safest method to carry out work.
• Understand current legislation (HASAWA, EAWR, DSEAR) and work to ensure full compliance.
• Provide guidance and support for major site engineering and maintenance events including outages, plant shut downs, and incidents.
• Support the E&M Department and other assigned personnel to meet required standards in a safe, timely manner.
• Supervise, develop, and address capability and competency in discipline areas; support in addressing technical requirements and standard implementation.
• Ensure competent discipline experts are available to address operating site technical requirements.
• Champion continuous engineering and maintenance fault diagnosis and improvements in collaboration with site, business departments and partners.
• Contribute to maintaining an Operating Site asset register and identify safety-critical equipment.

• Have completed an apprenticeship in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (or equivalent) OR hold a minimum of an NVQ L3 in a relevant discipline.
• Experience working in a 24/7 industrial process with investigations, troubleshooting, planned repairs, predictive & preventive maintenance, equipment installation, fault finding.
• Appreciation of HV distribution systems including transformers, ideally with an S4 qualification.
• 18th Edition Qualification.
• Ability to maintain all site systems associated with rotating equipment, steam raising, material handling equipment (conveyors, shredders, cutters), gas, water and air systems piping and valves, reactors, distillation systems, tanks, tanker loading systems, vehicle fleet management and power transmission & distribution.
