By investing in tools, technologies and research cultures, we aim to remove barriers and enable breakthroughs that improve health for everyone.We are looking for a Team Coordinator to join our team, on a part-time contract (21hours/Week)The Discovery Research team supports an ambitious programme of bold, innovative research aiming to transform our understanding of life, health and wellbeing. We are pursuing these goals through both open and directed funding for individuals and teams across a huge breadth of research topics – everything from cells and genes, to understanding the political and societal aspects of health. We also play a key role in forging partnerships and supporting networks within the research and funding communities to support a positive research environment.In this role, you’ll provide essential administrative support to a large and busy team, helping to keep daily operations running smoothly in a fast‑paced and complex environment. Your work will play a key part in enabling the team to stay organised, responsive and focused on delivering its objectives.As a Team Coordinator, you will :* Provide day-to-day administrative support by organising mail, responding to enquiries, overseeing team space and supplies, arranging desks and IT setups, and processing invoices, day‑to‑day administrative support by organising mail, responding to enquiries, overseeing team space and supplies, arranging desks and IT set‑ups, and processing invoices.* Coordinate meetings and team activities by preparing agendas, papers and slide decks, taking clear minutes, and supporting away‑day planning and logistics.* Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date information by administering databases, ensuring compliance with policies, and supporting cost‑control processes.* Deliver a smooth onboarding experience by managing inductions for new team members and helping colleagues navigate Wellcome processes.* Work collaboratively across the relevant Leadership and wider administrative community, contributing to MaTES (internal Network for PAs/EAs and team coordinator) and providing cover or surge support during busy periods while promoting an inclusive, cross-team culture.* Take initiative to prioritise tasks in a fast‑paced environment, completing any additional duties as required and upholding Wellcome’s principles in all aspects of work.If you have PA or administrative experience, strong IT skills (including Microsoft Office and SharePoint), and enjoy keeping things organised and running smoothly, this role could be a great fit for you.
