A community-focused organization in Sheffield seeks a passionate Centre Director to lead the Greentop Circus. In this part-time role, you will drive strategic vision, oversee a small dedicated team, and ensure effective operations while fostering an inclusive culture. Responsibilities include business planning, financial oversight, and enhancing community engagement through dynamic programs. The Centre Director is the strategic and operational lead for Greentop Circus - a role that blends big picture vision with hands on delivery. Working closely with the Board of Trustees and our talented staff team, the Centre Director will guide the organisation's mission, ensuring Greentop continues to thrive as a creative, inclusive and community rooted space.
The post holder will lead on business planning, organisational development, profile raising and championing the role of circus within cultural, education, community and social contexts. The Centre Director will work closely with the Teaching and Programme Lead who will lead on the Creative Programme. This role is also responsible for ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and good governance.
This is a role for someone who thrives on collaboration, creativity and community impact - someone who can balance strategic thinking with practical delivery, and who is energised by leading a small but mighty organisation.
The position is for 4 days per week and reports to the Chair of the Board of Trustees. The role has direct reports of Teaching and Programme Lead, Finance/Office Manager, Programme Manager (Hire Us programme), Youth Circus Lead, Youth Circus Administrator, Marketing Lead.
