This role will also benefit from experience or knowledge of hydraulic systems, as these skills will support the team in delivering robust manufacturing solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Hands‑on problem solving: Work directly with manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve technical issues using data‑driven approaches and structured methodologies.

  • Design collaboration: Influence design engineering to ensure manufacturability and assembly considerations are integrated throughout the product development process.

  • Lean solutions: Develop efficient equipment layouts, process designs, and product flows to maximize ROI and reduce costs per unit.

  • Automation and technology: Ensure process capability, cycle time, and equipment availability targets are met through automation and advanced technology integration.

  • Documentation and training: Define equipment lists, spare requirements, training needs, work instructions, and safety documentation for production and maintenance teams.

  • APQP and FMEA: Lead the rollout of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and cascade critical characteristics into internal and supplier quality systems.

  • System commissioning: Oversee installation and commissioning processes, driving continuous improvement and root cause analysis to meet SQDC targets.
