Overview

Trainee Land Surveyor and Design Engineer role based in Ballymena, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom. Aureos are recruiting for a Trainee to support projects on Distribution Overhead Energy lines in Northern Ireland. The successful candidate will support Land Surveying and Design. All training will be provided, including formal qualifications. A good understanding of Maths, English and IT is desirable, along with a can-do attitude. The role involves traveling to various sites; a driving license is required. A company van, fuel card and mobile phone will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Conduct topographical, boundary, and utility surveys using Trimble GPS and total station equipment or similar
• Liaising and negotiating with Local Authorities, landowners, clients, and other parties to obtain routes for underground cables and overhead lines in accordance with legislation and client policy.
• Producing design drawings, measuring design clearances on electricity networks from LV to 275 kV
• Collaborate closely with design and engineering teams on the planning and construction of electricity infrastructure
• Accurately interpret and produce construction drawings, maps, and digital models using survey data
• Fulfil the role of Designer under the Construction Regulations
• Ensure data collection meets project requirements and regulatory / internal standards
