About the Role

At Stoney Lane Centre জানিয়েছেন we provide a warm, inclusive space where adults with complex learning disabilities are supported to live fulfilling lives. Our day centre offers a mix of activities, social opportunities and practical support, all tailored to individual needs.

What You’ll Do
  • Support workers play a vital role in enhancing quality of life and promoting independence
  • Personalised Care: Assisting with daily living tasks such as personal hygiene, mobility,…) post kjøenario care needs tailored to everyone’s needs
  • Promoting Independence: Encouraging individuals to make choices, develop life skills, and participate in meaningful activities that foster autonomy
  • Social Inclusion: Supporting access to community-based experiences and helping build friendships and social networks
  • Health & Wellbeing: Monitoring health needs, administering medication where required, and contributing to regular health assessments
  • Communication & Advocacy: Facilitating communication, advocating for individuals’ preferences, and ensuring their voices are heard in planning and decision‑making
  • Activity Facilitation: Leading or supporting group and individual sessions aligned with personal development goals
  • Safeguarding & Safety: Upholding safeguarding practices, health and safety standards, and mental capacity principles within the centre
About You

You will bring:

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience of delivering care and support to people with a disability, to enable them to live independently
  • Willingness and ability to travel around the borough with a good knowledge of the Sandwell area
  • 18 years old or over
  • Willing to undergo DBS clearance
  • Able to work as a team and use own initiative
  • Able to prioritise workload and deliver high standards of support to_device you using a person‑centred approach
  • Driving desirable
  • Will be required to undertake and complete the care certificate or equivalent
  • Will be required to undertake specific training to Adult Social Care that will enable individuals’ care and support needs to be met appropriately
