About Us

At STERIS Instrument Processing (IP) we are experts in surgical instrument sterilisation. We offer on and offsite re-processing, alongside reliable instrument maintenance solutions. Our diverse and talented teams use cutting‑edge technology to ensure that the highest quality of infection prevention is delivered to our customers. We are recruiting for staff on a flexible working basis, with 0 hours contracts. You tell us your availability, and we work around you!

TRAINING AND WORKING PATTERN

12 weeks of full‑time training on Monday‑Friday at 9:00‑17:00, then move to zero‑hours contract.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Ensuring the effective preparation of sterile consumables (dressings, linen, instruments and equipment) by the process of decontamination, inspection assembly and packing within predefined quality standards.

Rigorously checking, washing, laying up and packing sets of theatre instruments to meet contract specifications within predefined quality standards.

Safely operating and monitoring machines and equipment (washer/disinfectors, ultrasonic and sterilisers) effectively.

Ensuring that repairs and missing instruments or equipment are recorded and logged on the Tracking and Traceability computer system (SynergyTrak).

Ensuring that repaired instruments or equipment are returned to stock or the appropriate coded sets or the Trust’s appointed person.
