A specialist support organization is seeking qualified Teachers of the Deaf and individuals with experience in Multi-Sensory Impairments across the UK. Candidates should be sensitive to students' needs in higher education settings and have relevant teaching qualifications. Responsibilities include providing tailored assistance and managing educational documentation. The role offers flexibility in hours based on availability.
We are seeking SSP (VI/HI/MSI) all over the UK. Specialist Support Professional (Deaf Students, Vision Impairment, Multi-Sensory Impairment)
We are looking for a qualified Teacher of the Deaf who has the ability to support, motivate and encourage students to develop and achieve their full potential. Ideally you will have experience in higher education establishment as you would be required to work mainly within colleges and universities. You will have the ability to be sensitive to pupils’ needs and learning styles and should have an interest in and understanding of additional support needs.
Main duties and responsibilities:

Mandatory Qualifications
Skills Knowledge & Experience (HI/MSI ONLY)
Advisory Teacher for Deaf Students OR Advisory Teacher for Students with Multi-Sensory Impairments OR Teaching qualification (see below) and Registered Qualified British Sign Language (BSL) Interpreter OR Teaching qualification (See below options) plus specialist qualification in relevant subject e.g:
Deaf Awareness qualification (specific to language acquisition) etc.
Skills Knowledge & Experience (VI/MSI ONLY)
Advisory Teacher for Students with Vision Impairments OR Advisory Teacher for Students with Multi-Sensory Impairments OR Teaching qualification (see below) plus specialist qualification in relevant subject
