A local government authority in Blyth is seeking a Social Worker for its Learning Disability Team. The role involves conducting assessments, care planning, and collaborating with various stakeholders to provide tailored support. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Social Work and experience in Adult Social Care. This position offers a full-time permanent contract with a salary range of £39,862 to £44,075, and flexible working options are available.

Following recent service developments, we are delighted to offer exciting Social Work opportunities within our developing countywide Learning Disability Team. Permanent contract, full time, 37 hours per week.
Salary: £39,862 – £44,075 (dependant on experience) including annual increments.
Based at Eddie Feguson House, Blyth. Flexible working options with a hybrid work scheme from alternative locality bases around the County.
Learning Disability team is co‑located with specialist health partners, fostering strong collaborative relationships that lead to more integrated working and better outcomes for the individuals and families we support.
Autonomy in managing caseload with supportive team and guidance from Advanced Social Work Practitioners and Team Manager.
Supported by dedicated Adult Social Care training team offering career development opportunities: specialist workshops, structured pathways, specialist accredited training such as Approved Mental Health Professional and Practice Educator qualifications.
