An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Bassetlaw Hospital in a varied and rewarding role.
This is a full-time position of 37.5 hours per week, working shifts that provide 24/7 service coverage, including weekends and bank holidays. Enhanced rates are paid for night shifts, weekends, and bank holidays.
Service Assistants are responsible for delivering high-quality portering and cleaning services across the hospital, ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
This role is primarily based within the Central Team, with duties focused on transporting patients and goods throughout the hospital site. Some Central Team roles require the operation of Trust vehicles, therefore, a valid driving licence, Cat B, is essential.
Service Assistants are responsible for carrying out a range of cleaning and portering tasks throughout the hospital, ensuring that the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are consistently maintained.
This is a physically demanding role that involves lifting, carrying, and moving items. Applicants should therefore be reasonably physically fit to meet the requirements of the position.
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
