About John Banks Group

John Banks Group is one of the East of England’s leading, automotive dealer groups, representing nine major brands across multiple sites. Our central marketing function supports all brands with digital content, campaigns, website updates, events, manufacturer activity and brand compliance.

The Role

This is a perfect opportunity for an experienced marketing professional who is confident, organised and capable of taking ownership of day‑to‑day marketing delivery—without holding full managerial responsibility.

You will work closely with our external agency, Directors, and the internal marketing team to ensure campaigns, content and brand activity are executed smoothly and to high standards.

Key Responsibilities
Campaign & Project Coordination
  • Coordinate the rollout of marketing campaigns across nine automotive brands.
  • Manage timelines, content requirements, plans and deadlines to ensure efficient delivery.
  • Assist with campaign planning, monthly offer uploads, content briefs and event coordination.
Digital & Website Management
  • Update website content, visuals, stock imagery, offer pages and brand‑specific content.
  • Support the social media lead in scheduling, email marketing and digital advertising activity.
  • Collaborate with our agency to ensure brand consistency and a strong customer journey.
Brand & Manufacturer Liaison
  • Implement manufacturer‑led campaigns and ensure compliance with brand guidelines.
  • Maintain monthly and quarterly manufacturer and internal marketing planners and ensure timely delivery of required materials.
Team Support & Coordination
  • Provide direction to marketing team members on daily tasks and priorities.
  • Review output for accuracy and brand alignment before final approval.
  • Act as the day‑to‑day link between the dealership network, senior management and the external agency.
Reporting & Insight
  • Monitor performance of campaigns and digital activity.
  • Provide the Directors and Management Team with concise summaries and recommendations.
Skills & Experience (Mid‑Point Expectation)

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Solid experience in a marketing or digital coordination role (multi‑channel preferred).
  • Strong organisational and project management skills with great attention to detail.
  • Good working knowledge of CMS platforms, digital content tools and social media scheduling.
  • Confident communication skills to collaborate with Directors, managers, suppliers and colleagues.
  • Ability to analyse basic marketing performance data to support decision‑making.
  • A proactive, adaptable approach suitable for a fast‑paced multi‑brand environment.
Salary Note

The expected salary range for this role is at the lower end of our detailing depending on experience.

However — if a candidate demonstrates upper‑tier skills such as:

  • automotive industry experience
  • experience across multiple retail brands or multi‑site organisations
  • strong digital campaign management or analytics capability
  • proven ability to oversee cross‑functional projects independently
  • advanced content, design or digital optimisation skills

…then the salary is fully negotiable, and we welcome applications from candidates at that higher level.

Benefits
  • Cycle to Work Scheme
  • Auto‑Enrolment Pension
  • Death in Service Benefit
  • Optional Health Care Scheme
  • Staff Discounts
  • PPE provided where applicable
  • Training and development opportunities
  • Financial advice and wellbeing support
Role Details
  • Hours: Monday–Friday, 8.30am–5.00pm
  • Holiday: 22 days + bank holidays
  • Requirement: Right to work in the UK + full UK driving licence
