Job summary

A Global Specialty Insurer in London is seeking a Senior Underwriter for Credit & Political Risk. The successful candidate will develop a profitable book of business and underwrite new and renewal accounts. The role involves building relationships with clients and brokers, while also contributing to strategic direction. Ideal candidates possess a deep knowledge of the Political and Credit Risk markets and hold relevant qualifications such as a Bachelor's Degree or ACII/FCII/CFA. This role offers a hybrid working model and supports a diverse environment.

Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of Political and Credit Risk markets.
  • Experience managing relationships with brokers and clients.
  • Relevant academic qualifications or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Underwrite and review profitable new business and renewals for the Credit and Political Risk account.
  • Develop strong client relationships primarily with Banks and Public Agencies.
  • Identify new business opportunities and growth areas for the class.

Skills

Strong first hand, in-depth working knowledge of Political and Credit Risk markets
Demonstrable knowledge of CPRI business and coverage design
Strong established business relationships with London and global market brokers and clients

Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent working experience and related qualification such as ACII/FCII/CFA
