Senior Care Assistant

£12.75 - £13.34 Depending on experience
30 Hour Contract for Days
Responsibilities
- Day‑to‑day responsibility for running a unit
- Responsible for issuing medication, reviewing care plans and accurate record keeping
- Leading and managing a team of Care Assistants, including responsibility for all shift handovers of the teams
- Helping with training and supervision of new staff members so they feel welcomed and supported
- Building relationships with residents, their families and external teams such as GPs and District Nurses
- Assisting residents with a range of personal care duties
Key Skills / Qualifications
- Complete or working towards an NVQ3 in care. We are happy to support completion if needed.
- Motivated, positive, with great interpersonal skills and enjoy working in a close‑knit team. Clinical expertise is crucial for CQC responsibilities.
- Previous experience of the role and knowledge of its rewards and challenges. Passion for making a real difference to people’s lives, giving them kindness, personalised support and dignity they need.
