Job description

Banking & Savings is at the heart of Nationwide, with nearly £1 in every £10 saved in the UK entrusted to us. As a Pricing Senior Analyst, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping the pricing, performance and planning of our millions of savings and current accounts. You’ll dive into complex, high‑volume datasets to uncover the real story behind the numbers, translating intricate patterns and market dynamics into clear, meaningful insights that support confident decision‑making across the business. This means not only understanding how money moves but interpreting the changing customer and market behaviours that sit beneath it, then communicating these insights in a way that resonates with senior stakeholders.

You’ll join an inclusive, supportive team that’s genuinely curious about the markets we operate in and passionate about meeting our members’ needs. We work collaboratively to ensure the strong financial performance of our products, helping to build a resilient future for Nationwide, one grounded in robust analysis, thoughtful insight and a deep understanding of the world our members live in.

We are happy to consider flexible working approaches to help you perform at your best.
At Nationwide we offer hybrid working wherever possible. More rewarding relationships are supported through our hybrid approach, bringing colleagues together across our UK wide estate, whilst also supporting generous access to home working. We value our time in the office to solve problems, to learn, and to feel connected.

For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at our Swindon office. If your application is successful, your hiring manager will provide further details on how this works. You can also find out more about our approach to hybird working here.

If we receive a high volume of relevant applications, we may close the advert earlier than the advertised date, so please apply as soon as you can.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll use a rich mix of internal and external information to build a deep understanding of Savings and Current Account performance, transforming complex data into clear, compelling insight that you can confidently communicate to key stakeholders. Drawing on your commercial awareness and strong numerical and analytical capabilities, you’ll take the lead in developing pricing proposals and shaping the operational forecasts that guide strategic decision‑making. Your work will be central to the analysis that underpins decisions across the business, helping to maintain the profitability and long‑term sustainability of one of our most important areas.

About you

As a minimum you’ll need to have/be:

A self‑motivated, numerate and logical thinker, able to create, gather and analyse data to form a clear picture of performance and communicate this effectively to others

Someone with strong PC skills, technical aptitude and hands‑on experience developing and maintaining analytics and reporting tools

Experienced in interpreting, manipulating and simplifying large, complex datasets, turning them into clear, digestible insight for senior stakeholders

Confident leading and co‑ordinating analytical pieces of work from the initial brief right through to final recommendations

Skilled at building strong relationships and communicating with clarity, both in writing and verbally, with a logical approach and keen attention to detail

Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced market, maintaining an ongoing understanding of changing dynamics

Naturally curious, proactive and motivated to uncover deeper insights that drive meaningful decisions

Our customer first behaviours put customers and members at the heart of how we work together. They are the set of behaviours that every colleague needs to display, in every role:

Feel what customers feel - We step into our customers’ shoes, using their feedback and insights to empathise with them and to understand their needs, so that every decision we make starts and finishes with our customers in mind

Say it straight - We are brave in speaking out and saying what we think – we’re honest and direct with good intent, openly sharing diverse perspectives to reach the best conclusions and using language everyone can understand

Push for better - We don’t settle for mediocrity, we challenge the status quo, taking responsibility for continuous improvement and personal development

Get it done - We prioritise what will have the greatest impact, we are decisive, and we take accountability for delivering brilliant customer outcomes

You can strengthen your application by showing how our customer first behaviours resonate with you, and where you may have already demonstrated these.
