Receptionist – Sidcup Care Home

Location: 2/8 Hatherley Road, Sidcup DA14 4BG

Salary: £12.25 – £13.25 per hour

Contract: Permanent

Shift pattern: Set shifts (Tuesday & Thursday – 08:30 – 15:30)

Hours: 14 hours per week (holiday cover for weekends as needed)

About the Care Home

The Sidcup offers nursing and residential care, both long‑term and short‑stay. The care home is purpose‑built with modern comforts and conveniences. Residents enjoy a warm, homely environment with en‑suite facilities, dining rooms, lounges, a cinema lounge, well‑maintained gardens, a hairdressing salon, a private lounge, and visiting professionals such as physiotherapists and chiropodists. Weekly GP visits, nutritious meals, and a variety of activities (quizzes, bingo, film afternoons, board games, arts and crafts, local trips, entertainers, tai chi, massage, aromatherapy) support person‑centred care.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the first point of contact for all visitors
  • Manage new enquiries and provide advice and support face‑to‑face and over the phone
  • Conduct show‑arounds within the care home
  • Support the Home Manager and Administrator with clerical duties, including maintaining paperwork and filing
  • Dealing with enquiries in a timely manner and ensuring daily and weekly tasks are completed
Key Skills / Qualifications Needed For This Role

You have prior receptionist experience and can provide excellent customer service with a friendly manner both face‑to‑face and over the phone. You are approachable, organized, and able to build strong relationships with residents, families, and internal teams. You are dedicated, efficient, and have a caring attitude that underpins everything you do.
