Job description
Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chief Technical Officer to lead the technical operations of our Radiopharmacy Unit within the Diagnostics and Therapies Division. This pivotal Band 8a role involves overseeing the safe and effective preparation of radiopharmaceuticals for both diagnostic and therapeutic use across UHBW and partner NHS Trusts. As the named Production Manager on the MHRA licence, you will ensure compliance with EU GMP standards, radiation safety regulations, and Trust policies, acting also as Lead Radiation Protection Supervisor and Radiation Waste Supervisor.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate a multidisciplinary technical team, ensuring efficient service delivery and continuous quality improvement.
  • Supervise staff and promote their development.
  • Control stock, maintain documentation, and plan operations.
  • Lead service development initiatives, support clinical trials, and contribute to training and education within the department and wider Trust.
