Product Operations (Senior) Associate

Description

Aurora Software is an integrated suite of products helping utilities, funds and governments make key strategic and investment decisions on the journey to net-zero, globally. We are now looking for a high-impact Product Operations (Senior) Associate to accelerate our product development. In the role, you will build the operational backbone for our software products— ensuring roadmap and backlog clarity, turning telemetry into decisions, and orchestrating smooth releases—so teams ship the right things, faster, with evidence.

Key Responsibilities
Data and insight
  • Decide key product metrics to track, and ensure data accuracy to power key product decisions
  • Build and maintain clear product dashboards and surface regular insights and takeaways
Roadmap and planning
  • Standardise and maintain a single source of truth for product roadmaps and backlogs
  • Work with product managers to establish, deliver and maintain appropriate roadmap and backlog views, tailored to the audience and use case
  • Operate the planning cadence, coordinating the stakeholders and ensuring capacity, dependencies and risks visible
Product process ownership
  • Help define and own key product processes across product teams; (e.g. how teams interface with one another, the right communication and decision channels), and ensure they are implemented and continuously improved based on feedback and business needs
Releases
  • Keep a shared release calendar and publish short “what’s new” notes
  • Ensure smooth interfaces and information flow between the various teams involved in product releases – including product, customer success and commercial
Customer voice
  • Standardise customer research operations - recruitment, consent, scheduling – and ensure insights are shared and distributed in right contexts for maximum impact
  • Work with the CS team to close the loop with customers on shipped changes; track impact on satisfaction/renewals
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Required attributes:
  • 4+ years of relevant professional experience, including experience in product ops or product management for B2B SaaS products
  • Strong analytics capabilities (SQL /dbt), experimentation basics, and product sense
  • Systems thinker who designs standards that stick and drives their implementation
  • Effective stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination, with strong communication skills across Product, Engineering, CS, and Sale
  • Delivery-oriented, highly organised, and comfortable coaching teams on process and evidence
Desirable attributes:
  • Experience with specialised product analytics stacks (e.g. Segment/Amplitude/Mixpanel, LaunchDarkly/Optimizely), product management stacks (e.g. Productboard/Jira Product Discovery) and BI (Looker/Mode)
  • Familiarity with energy/enterprise SaaS contexts
