Job description

Excellent opportunity opens for a Portfolio Manager to join a growing Private Bank. This role offers the opportunity to manage diverse client portfolios, shape investment strategy, and work closely with internal teams and advisors to deliver high-quality, client-focused outcomes. The ideal candidate will bring strong Fixed Income portfolio expertise, a solid grasp of macro and interest-rate dynamics, and the ability to manage portfolios with integrity, sound risk awareness, and clear, client-focused communication.

Responsibilities
  • Manage client portfolios in line with the established portfolio management strategy to meet agreed investment objectives.
  • Ensure all portfolios align with each client’s specific goals and constraints.
  • Implement investment decisions, including accurate and timely trade execution.
  • Oversee cash management and currency positioning across portfolios.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal relationship managers to support understanding of the discretionary offering and encourage internal business referrals.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal research teams and external manager research functions as needed.
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with colleagues across the discretionary investment function.
  • Participate in internal and external investment meetings, providing high-quality communication and insights.
  • Maintain active relationships with client advisors and clients, including attending in-person meetings.
  • Coordinate proactive communication of investment strategy updates to relationship managers and clients.
About You
  • Fixed Income portfolio construction experience preferred, with knowledge of duration/credit/liquidity risk management
  • PCIAM6 or equivalent
  • Understanding of macroeconomic trends, monetary policy, and interest rate dynamics
  • Experience managing single-line government and corporate bond portfolios preferred
  • Being able to bring our corporate values to life through role modelling
  • Communicate in a clear and consistent manner, taking account of the relevant stakeholder
  • Building and managing teams using their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals
