Role

The Policy and Process Manager - Hard FM and Delivery Workflow at NHS Property Services is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving policies, standards, and guidance documents that support operational excellence. This role focuses on optimising delivery processes through best practice methodologies, ensuring compliance with legislation and industry standards, and maintaining strong engagement with internal and external stakeholders. It also involves conducting audits, updating compliance materials, and preparing reports for senior leadership to support informed decision-making.

You are a detail-oriented and strategic thinker with a strong understanding of facilities management and process optimisation. With a passion for driving operational excellence, you thrive on developing clear, compliant, and effective policies and procedures that support business performance. You\'re confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels, translating legislative and industry changes into practical guidance, and ensuring continuous improvement across delivery workflows. Your proactive approach and analytical mindset make you a trusted advisor in shaping best practice and maintaining high standards across the organisation.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain policies, technical standards, guidance, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create best practice documents aligned with legislation.
  • Oversee audits and compliance investigations, ensuring thorough review and reporting.
  • Build strong internal relationships to influence compliance and audit outcomes.
  • Engage with external authorities to stay aligned with legislative and industry best practices.
  • Govern key processes within the company\'s process management framework.
  • Identify improvement opportunities through gap analysis and lead process improvement initiatives.
  • Support teams and maintain documentation, ensuring consistent access and retention practices.
